Seafoam Punch : A Mermaid Mocktail


This Fun Friday, I have a fantastic recipe for all you merfolk out there! It’s kinda hard to believe there isn’t any rum in this drink, because it looks like the kind of party libation King Triton would serve his kingdom. No matter, because this Seafoam Punch is a Mermaid Mocktail. Plenty of fresh exotic juices and fruit syrups swirl with bubbles from chardonnay grapes. The wild color is from blue green algae! It’s chock full of B-vitamins and the protein C-phycocyanin, which has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory qualities. Perfect for a post-holiday detox!

Seafoam Punch*

3 dashes Fee Brothers Peach Bitters

.75 oz Freshly squeezed lemon juice

.5 oz Freshly pressed pineapple juice

1 oz BG Reynolds Original Orgeat

.5 oz Liquid Alchemist Passionfruit Syrup

2 oz Trader Joe’s Sparkling Chardonnay Grape Juice

.25 tsp Blue Majik


Glass: Rocks glass with ice

Method: Add all ingredients together and blend either with an immersion blender or a traditional blender for about 10 seconds to incorporate blue algae. Pour into glass/serving vessel.

Garnish: Go wild with assorted gummies to suit your guests! I *was* going to use Swedish Fish, but the thought of Ariel eating Flounder didn’t sit well with me. Ha!
