5 Delicious Spots To Meet A Friend In The Phoenix Area

You’ve nailed down a time to catch up with a friend and have to decide where to meet. We’ve all been there–quickly searching for a place that’s convenient to everyone and ALSO has delicious coffee. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I’ve travelled to Phoenix several times this year. I made time to explore between family visits and work. The result?

5 Delicious Spots To Meet A Friend In The Phoenix Area

La Grande Orange Grocery

4410 N. 40th St.,

Phoenix, AZ 85018

This location is a perfect spot to grab a coffee and gelato for a mid-afternoon meetup. I chose their Summer Berries flavor made locally by Grateful Spoon Gelato–a perfect blend of Strawberries, Blackberries & Raspberries! Hungry for an actual meal? This location has a full menu with plenty of alternative options that appeal to a variety of lifestyles. The pizzeria next door looks like a fun spot to bring the family or split a pie or two on a double date.

Nekter Juice Bar

Various locations

Meeting a friend post-workout? Nekter is a great place to re-fuel with a rainbow of juices and smoothies. I tried their Pink Flamingo with pitaya, strawberry, pineapple, agave nectar, and coconut water blended. Next time, I’m trying their Acai Bowl–it looks lovely!

TIP: Download their app & get loyalty points! Enter code LauraLind8550 in the Nekter Loyalty App & we’ll both get a $3 Juice/Smoothie at Nekter!

Cartel Coffee Lab

Various locations

On my most recent trip, I visited the Downtown Phoenix location at 1 N 1st St. It’s street parking only, but once inside, this is a super spot for delicious coffee! It shares a building with co-working office space, The Department and the wood booths on the main floor would be great for brainstorming or just catching up. I picked up a bag of their Columbia for my Mom while I was in town. Love you, Mom!

CIBO Urban Pizzeria

603 N 5th Ave,

Phoenix, AZ 85003

A friend took me here for lunch and I really enjoyed it! Granted, this was back in in February, so the weather was a *bit* cooler, but the garden-like patio setting was very zen. Also, $9.50 for a delicious sandwich on freshly baked saltimbocca bread? Yes, please! Next time, I’m checking out their happy hour.

DeSoto Central Market

915 N Central Ave

Phoenix, AZ 85004

Centrally located in the Roosevelt Row Arts District, this marketplace and food hall has a little something for everyone. I went for a simple lunch at Tea & Toast and enjoyed the misters out on the patio. There is bountiful seating inside on two floors with a variety of food vendors and a bar. Next time, I’ll try out happy hour at Walrus + the Pearl!

TIP: Free parking is available in the Roosevelt Community Church lot next door.

Until next time, Phoenix!
