Mondays Are For Drinking: A Trip to Bahooka Tiki Restaurant

Yesterday was quite full of activities from dusk till dawn. After some household chores to keep the house spic and span, we headed out to Arcadia for some hot little xiao long baos at Din Tai Fung.

Being a block away from Bahooka, a tiki restaurant we’ve always wanted to check out, we swung by and ordered up a few concoctions at  the bar. The individual drinks were good, but the fun was in sharing a Honey Bowl with my hunny. And yes, that’s a bar top made out of an aquarium!

The night was young and we swung by Seven Grand to watch The Robby Marshall Group. John Daversa was jamming with them last night. I think we may have been only 1 of 5 people there to actually listen to the group. I don’t mind–it’s like a free concert with whiskey purchase! Maybe more LAVC concerts would sell out if billed this way, hmmm?

Upon returning home to Picaro and a cold house, we were suddenly struck with the urge to make egg nog. So we did.

See how it came out and get the recipe at DrinkYourView.com, our boozey blog.
